Don’t let your kids take a back seat in your relationship!
One of the best places to have meaningful conversations with your kids is in the car.
One reason is, you have an excuse to let them talk and not look at them. Sounds silly I know, but sometimes it is hard for kids to look you in the eye when you are talking about sensitive subjects! When you are driving you can keep your eye on the road and let them know you are listening to every word.
One reason is, you should not be on your phone or texting anyway. So just turn your phone off and turn your kid on! Make them the center of your attention!
Number one tip….bring them to the front seat! If they are big enough to ride in the front let them….bring them up front and make a drive your time to talk!
