Resources

The links and information below are provided as resources. We have found this information to be very helpful! Some are classes, some are just sites with info. Enjoy.

Resources for Caregivers!
Sometimes parents are left to care for their children’s children and frankly they have little to no legal standing. This is certainly not the case with everyone. However, if you find yourself in this gut –wrenching situation, you want to play an important role in your grandchildren’s lives and don’t know where to turn, I hope this resource helps you.

Resources for Bullying!
When Jack went through his horrific experience with bullying, I read a number of resources that helped me. There was no definitive source or reference because each situation is different. I got valuable nuggets from a number of different authors, website, etc.

I hope if you find yourself in the situation where your son or daughter is being bullies these reference and resources are helpful to you.

Remember, you are not alone. Together we can stop this trend dead in its tracks!

Resources to help you Empower your Kid!
Over the years and while I was writing this book I run into some wonderful resources I wanted to share.

I hope this page is helpful to you and you find some ideas and resources to help you empower your kids!

The subject matter is very diverse, so no doubt you’ll find something of interest.

Resources to help you turn your Kid into a Goal Setter!
Teaching kids how to set goals and go after those goals is such an important skill, I wanted to devote an entire page to it.

On this page you’ll find a number of different books and resources to help you teach your kids the important skill of goal setting. Remember, like I said, we all have more than one cookbook. If you get one nugget out of these, it will be worth the investment!

Resources for Divorced Parents!
There is just no way to make this subject a happy one. I never thought I would find myself in the position where I was getting a divorce.

It was surely one of the hardest things I have had to go through in my life.

I am, however, proud to say that through the entire process, I worked very hard to keep my personal feelings in check and do what needed to be done to put Jack first.

My motto was and is:
I am a mom first and a divorced person second.

Should you find yourself in the unfortunate position of going through a divorce, I hope some of these resources can help you. There is a little something for everyone on this page. I hope find some of these resources helpful.

Resources to help you open the lines of about Drug and Alcohol and other sensitive stuff!
I want to tackle another topic many people find hard to talk about with their kids. I don’t know one parent who wants their kids to get involved with drugs and alcohol, but often we handle this subject in a dictatorial fashion.

We think telling our kids not to do it will cut it. Well often it won’t and often it will have the opposite effect.

My Cub Scouts and their parents know I am big on talking openly about this stuff. I wanted to devote a page to giving you resources you can use to open the lines of communication. Courage my fellow parents—this is the kind of stuff that really counts!

I hope you find these often candid resources useful.

Resources about Parenting in General!
I have come across so many parenting resources, it is almost overwhelming. I have pulled together a page that gives you some of the ones I like the most.

Much like the other pages, there is a little something for everyone. Be sure to take a look, I think you’ll find some interesting tips there.

One of my favorites is about Parents and Dating—you dating, not the kids dating silly!

A better look at our Flyers, Invoices and Other Business Tools!
Here are samples of Jack’s flyers, his invoice and his service order form. In the book, they are rather small and hard to read.

I wanted to provide you with a page where you could get a better look at these documents and also give you some additional tips on how to create your own.

Extra Extra! Other stuff you might find useful!
Here are some additional resources I wanted you to have, so I have made an extra resources page. There is a hodgepodge of information on this page.

I hope you find it helpful.
